Before the IRS can levy your wages or file a Notice of Federal Tax Lien, the IRS must send you a notice informing you of your collection due process rights prior to taking such collection action. Once you get a notice, we only have 30 days to request such a hearing. It is important to preserve your collection due process (CDP) rights for a number of reasons.

While a hearing request is pending, the IRS cannot take collection action against you. It also gives us time to review your best options and prepare a settlement package. There are other rights and benefits to a CDP hearing.

Contact our tax lawyers in Orlando today if you received a collection due process notice so we can preserve your rights and review your options!
